Mama Elephant Pandamonium: Wedding Card

Update: This card was featured on Mama Elephant Instagram! :)

Hello crafty friends!

I finally had some down time over the weekend to do my favorite thing and that's making cards! I made quite a few and will be sharing them over the next several days so make sure you come back often to take a look.

Before I go into today's card, I wanted to mention that I will be making a change around here on the blog. I am currently looking for a new premade blogger template to make my blog a bit more interesting. I've found a few templates that caught my eyes, but have not set on one yet. Just wanted to let you know in case you mistakenly think you went to the wrong blog.

I love cardmaking challenges, but sometimes challenge rules goes against what I want to create. So, for today's card, I decided to make it for the fun of it! This card definitely makes me happy. My little sister is getting marry next month and I wanted to make her something extra special. She loves Pandas just as much as I do so Mama Elephant Pandamonium stamp set is the perfect set to create a wedding card for her.

I just received my orders from the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration on Friday, and oh boy, how excited I was to use those labels dies. I thought the labels dies paired well with those cute pandas. I also wanted to incorporate some white tulle somewhere on my card so I decided to use the tulle for the window. Originally my plan was to use clear acetate sheet for the window, but after having a difficult time deciding where to put the tulle, I decided to not use it. And I'm so glad I switched it because I absolutely love how the "tulle" window came out. I'm sorry that you can't see the tulle that well in the photograph above.

I wanted this scene to be like a photoshoot session, like when the wedded couple gets photograph after their wedding vows. I even die-cut a banner out of "camera" patterned paper. The wedding gown was made out of vellum, the bows out of glitter papers, and flowers out of scrap papers.

And that is pretty much my card for today. I do hope you enjoyed it and sorry for the lengthy post. I promise next time it'll be shorter. And thanks for sticking all the way to the end of this post. Also, many thanks again for stopping by and leaving me sweet and encouraging comments. I appreciate each and every one of them. Have a wonderful day!

She is the special Honoree of this year's blog hop because of her support to many blogs in Spain, USA and some other places in the world. We also chose this date because it is her blog's anniversary!

Now onto the hop. I'm sure this is the first time many of you are stopping by my blog - hope you like what you see. :) If you arrived here via Valerie blog, you are on the right track. If not, you will want to start at the beginning of the hop at Heidi's blog. Here is the complete line up in case you get lost:

Ka (You Are Here)

This blog hop is all about friendship. I thought the pretty stamp set "Our Friendship Grows" from Lawn Fawn would be the perfect set to celebrate my friendship with my BFF. This set has a couple sunflowers images, which is one of her favorite flowers, so I know she is going to flip when she open this gift set.

I colored the sunflowers with Copic Markers. I also thought it be fun to pop some of the petals up to add a little more interest to the flowers.

Included with the card is a bag of caramel popcorn (her favorite) and a few sunflowers jumbo paperclips that I made. I covered the sunflowers on the paperclips with a thick coat of glossy accents to add little more durability.

Do you want to win some amazing prizes? To win the amazing goodies from our sponsors, all you have to do is leave a comment on each of the posts on the hop. You will have all weekend to leave your comments. We will pull all the comments and pick the winners using So be sure to leave comments on everyone's posts. We will announce all the winners on March 25th.

Now, your next stop on the blog hop is Mayra. I know she will have an awesome project or two for you to look at. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy hopping.

Mama Elephant In My Heart: Happy Birthday Shaker Card

Hello! I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday. I finally feel like it's starting to look a lot more like Spring here in Wisconsin. Now that the majority of the snow has melted, I've been inspired to make a Spring birthday card.

For today's card, I made a cute shaker card featuring the adorable girl from Mama Elephant "In My Heart" stamp set. This is actually my first time making a shaker card. It was pretty fun! I wanted to make this a no-bulk shaker and postal friendly card because it will be traveling all the way to the Netherlands where my niece live.

To begin the shaker card, I stamped the cute girl in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Solar White cardstock. Then I created a grassy hill for her to stand on. I colored the image using Copic Markers and fussy cut the image. Then I created a sunny background by blending Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade distress inks. I then stamped Happy Birthday in Jet Black StazOn ink on the blended background and set it aside to dry.

To create my no bulk shaker card, I used the second largest die from Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables dies set and ran it with a cardstock through the Big Shot machine. This created a window on the cardstock. Then I used a strong adhesive tape and adhered a piece of transparency film behind the window. I poured different sizes and colors of sequins onto my transparency film and sealed it with the dried blended background using the same strong adhesive. This created the shaker element. I found that the sequins doesn't move around as much, but it still shakes.

To finish my card, I framed the window with a polka dot paper and die-cut two clouds from Mama Elephant Stitched Sky dies. I adhered all the pieces to the window. After everything was adhered, I noticed that the sentiment "Happy Birthday" kept getting covered by the sequins. So then, I decided to stamp the sentiment again on the exact same spot using my Stamp-a-ma-jig as a guide.

And that wrap up my shaker card for today. I do love how the card came out, but I think next time I will try the bulk shaker version. Thanks so much for popping in and looking at my card. I hope you'll have a wonderful week!

Mama Elephant Pandamonium: #100HappyDays

Hello my crafty friends! Hope your week is going great so far. Today's card is made for my little sister and her little family. My nephew came to this world just about 100 days ago - hence the name of the post title. So, I wanted to send them a card celebrating their 100 happy days of joy, love, and family togetherness.

I started off by tracing two different sizes of circles using coffee mugs (one on yellow cardstock and one on white cardstock) and then I cut them out. I used a post-it note to mask the horizon on the white cardstock and used Tumbled Glass for the sky and Mowed Lawn for the grass. Then I stamped the family of pandas with VersaFine Onyx Black pigment ink and used the coordinating dies to die cut them. To finish my focal panel, I created a bow for the mother panda, stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant Happy Everything stamp set, and adhered to the yellow circle.

For the background panel, I die-cut two yellow cardstocks using a stitched rectangle die from Mama Elephant Femme Frames Creative Cuts. To create my stitched strip, I trimmed one of the stitched rectangle edge. I then cut two patterned papers and adhered them to the other stitched rectangle. The focal panel was mounted with foam dimensional adhesives.

I hope you like today's card and if you haven't already picked up the "Pandamonium" stamp set from Mama Elepant, I highly recommend you do! It has wonderful sentiments and cute panda images.

Thanks again for swinging by and until next time!

Stamping Up! Sincere Salutations: Good Luck

Hello! It's hard to believe March has already arrived! Time sure flies! This month I have so many birthdays cards to send out along with a couple anniversaries cards too. But, today, I wanted to focus on a good luck card that I made and will be sending it out to my sister-in-law. I wanted to send her some good luck wishes.

Before I get to the details of my card, I wanted to enter this card to the following challenges: Lawnscaping Dots and Stripes, Sparkle and Shine Photo Inspiration, Monday Morning Think Spring, and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Just A Hint Of Clover.

To begin the card, I punched out a whole bunch of shamrocks and adhered them to the card base. I die cut a green patterned paper using one of the Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Rectangle dies and created the little hill using a portion of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders die. I stamped my sentiment with black pigment ink and black heat embossed. I mounted that to my card base using foam dimensional adhesives.

For my four-leaf clover, I used the tiny hearts from Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling Card and a small heart punch. To create my stem, I ran the other half of the unused green patterned paper with the Stitched Hillside Border die through the Big Shot Machine and cut along the stitched line. The hearts and stem was also mounted using the foam dimensional adhesives. And lastly, I added some sequins and an embroidery thread as a finishing touch.

I hope you enjoyed today's card and hopefully made you excited for Spring! Thanks again for stopping by and see you soon!
