Birthday Card Featuring Lawn Fawn Into The Woods

Hello crafty friends!

I can't believed that it's been two weeks since my last post. I've been meaning to pop in and share something, but life got in the way. So, I apologize for my brief absence.

Today, I have a birthday card to share. Last night, I needed to make a quick card for tonight neighbor's kid birthday party. I always thought that the little fox from Lawn Fawn Into The Woods set was perfect for little kids, whether it be birthday or baby's or other occasion. The fox is just so cute! The balloon is from Mama Elephant Good Times set. I know I overused this balloon quite a bit, but I have an obsession with polka dots and polka dots are just so much more fun! No? :)

This card had no real special technique involved, but I still very much love the little scene. I blended the background with distress inks and white heat embossed the clouds. My fox and birthday hat was colored with copics. I added glossy accents to the balloon. To finish off the card, I tied the balloon to the log by piercing little holes on the top and bottom of the log using a paper piercer. I decided to leave the card sentiment-free because it looks so nice as is and besides a two year old cannot read anyway. Lol!

That's all I have for today. Thanks to everyone who always stop by and taking the time to comment. I really appreciate what you have to say, even if you're just saying Hi. :) Now I'm off to catch up on my blogs! Have a wonderful weekend!!

A Love Card featuring Mama Elephant Pandamonium

Hello, hello.

Just popping in to share a Love card I made for my cousin. She needed a Love card for her husband & so this is what I came up with.

After I took this picture, I added a bow tie to the panda on the left and a bow hair clip to the one on the right. I thought it be nice to give them each a gender. :)

I blended the background with distress inks and dropped some Perfect Pearls mixed with water on the panel for the stars. I know some of the drops are a bit too big, but I didn't want to start over, so I just left them as is. Sorry the photo didn't do a great job showing the shine from the Perfect Pearls. The lanterns were colored with copics. I used a Heidi Swapp Polaroid Frame to frame the scene. The card was finished off by black heat embossing the sentiment and taping the Polaroid frame with a striped washi tape to the card base.

I know you are probably getting sick of seeing these pandas, but I just love them and I love how this card came out so I had to share it. If you haven't already noticed, but this set is by far one of my favorite set. I am crazy in love with these pandas! :) I promise my next post will have something other than pandas.

That's all for me today. I hope you all have a great weekend!

Birthday Card Featuring Mama Elephant Love Quotes

Hello friends! I hope your week is going great so far! Mine is alright, just been really busy with work. I planned to write this post yesterday, but by the time I got home from work, I was pretty wiped out. I didn't even eat dinner. I just went straight to bed. But, today I was lucky enough to get out of work early and first thing I did was come here to write this post and share this fun birthday card I made for my cousin.

I am pretty obsessed with these birds. They're just so cute! I used Mama Elephant Good Times (balloons) and Love Quotes (birds) along with Lawn Fawn Milo ABCs (sentiment) and So Much To Say (hat) to make my birthday card. For the background panel, I blended Mowed Lawn and Peacock Feathers distress inks. I added some Wink of Stella on the hat, which the photograph did a poor job showing it, but it's there. It's real pretty with just a little bit of glitter. The sentiment was black heat embossed on teal cardstock. Everything was popped with foam dimensional adhesives.

I know there's a lot of fussy cutting involved with this card, but I think the end results is so worth it! And lately, I am finding that fussy cutting can be a little therapeutic for me especially when I am stressed from work. What about you? Well, I hope you like seeing today's card and enjoy this super short post. Thanks for stopping by and I will see you back here soon! Enjoy the rest of your week!

Birthday Card Featuring Lawn Fawn Beep Boop Birthday

Hi there! Happy May 1st! I hope this month will be a good one for all of you! I know this month will be a busy month for me. With Mother's Day approaching and the amount of prep work to be done at work, I will be working super long hours. But, I promise I will keep sharing cards, as I've got a few finished ones sitting on my desk. :)

I don't have a Mother's Day card for you today, but I do have a boy birthday card to share. I made this birthday card for my nephew who is really into robots right now. I thought this Lawn Fawn Beep Boop Birthday set was perfect for him.

I paper pieced the robots bodies using patterned papers and colored the heads with a Copic marker. The robots were anchored using the hexagons border stamp from the Lawn Fawn set called Interlocking Backdrops. I did a little selective stamping by masking some of the hexagons. Then I went back and stamped the little washers that is included in the Beep Boop Birthday set. The little circle things on top of the washers are actually brads. I thought they added a really cool touch to the washers even though you can't really tell they are washers anymore. And, I also thought it be fun to do some paper piecing on the hexagons too.

I hope you enjoyed today's card! Thanks for popping in and have an awesome weekend!
